Tropical Beach Tablescape
sv*c*nt
Dreaming of a tropical wedding, escape to the beach with this beautiful styled shoot by J Morgan Flowers. With Afloral faux flowers and tropical leaves you can create a destination wedding paradise.
After hearing that Preston Bailey (the God of event design) recommend Afloral I was beyond excited when they asked me collaborate with them on a Tropical Beach Tablescape. My imagination ran wild……….living in Florida brides often pick non tropical, as they are surrounded by it on a daily basis.
I wanted to create a lush tablescape that almost housed the guests for a warm, home-like, intimate feeling. I am not going to lie, I was both nervous and excited to work with silk, forever blooms!
Once the box arrived I was IN LOVE!! They are so realistic and my excitement took over.
I started with a wooden structure that we made from 1 ½ inch wood from home depot and corner brackets. After staining the wood I added Curly Willow branches using wire. Then the fun began!! Starting with the yummy Monstera leaves, Anthuriums, and then the Phalaenopsis Orchids.
Once on site at the exclusive Tideline Resort in Palm Beach, I added the final decorations to the inside of the structure. A bed of monstera leaves, lanterns of various heights, pineapple candle holders (the sign for hospitality), Chinese Fir Root orbs, touches of greenery, and of course more orchids!!
Hotel guests were coming up and were in awe of what we had created
in just a matter of minutes, asking if they could eat lunch at the
table!
Now I have the forever flower bug and have already used them in other photo shoots!!
