This week, I am back in the studio to work on some..

This week, I am back in the studio to work on some big, colorful paintings for an exhibition which will be held at Lord Errol's in October, 2016. The painting for this show is going so well, and the work is flowing out of my brush effortlessly! It feels great to be back in the studio working on some big canvases.

I am feeling for natural forms, organic objects, and a combination of subtle color with bright pops of pink and red.

This is one painting I am working on, which is long and narrow; 1 meter high by about 210 centimeters wide. The

painting is a diptych, coming in two canvases, but not evenly divided; rather I chose to do 2/3 and 1/3, with the 1/3 canvas being the part that's coming into the sunlight. Here, the "architecture" of the painting is blocked in, and the lighter areas, now to focus on detail, modeling and bringing some roundness into the branches and leaves.
